The Full Story
So, this one time at Sand Camp... Just kidding.
Hello, It's a pleasure to meet you all. My name is Christopher Bordas and I have always believed that my calling in life was to protect and help people through situations they just can't always get through by themselves. That calling has taken me from being a mall security officer in 1997 to joining the Army as an MP in 1999, to Iraq in 2003, to New Orleans in the direct aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, then back and forth to Iraq from 2006 to 2015, with a 6 month stop protecting the mouse at Disney World in 2011.
The world can be a terrible place, but yes, it is worth fighting for. Fighting the world for my family is what gets me out of bed every morning and put me on this career path. So that I can also be there for you when you need me. After working Hurricane Katrina's aftermath, the aftermath of different war-torn locations in Iraq, and Emergency Response at the US Embassy in Baghdad, I decided to focus more on Emergency Management over Law Enforcement and Criminology. That is where my current degree path falls into place. I felt it would make me a more rounded professional security/emergency responder ready to handle any situation that arises.
I also have aspirations of learning network administration as well as cybersecurity once I complete my Master's degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security making me a fully prepared Security and Emergency Management professional on all fronts.
